An article I found interesting this week via the New York Times was a photo documentation of the deterioration of Coney Island. I am fascinated by vintage 50's signs and typography - not just for the style but for a reminder of times past. Nathan Kensinger documents the Playland arcade opened in 1935 and closed in 1982. You can find the article here with a link to his blog....hope you are as interested as I am!
Enjoy the weekend...I would love to hear your thoughts on these two new sites!
p.s. (I took the above photo to document a vintage sign in my hometown) and I will be back with some fabulous fabrics just in waiting to be transformed!
I love this idea of showing great finds. Thanks for sharing these both. I will check them out as soon as I get a chance.:)
