neighbourhood show!

Workermade is a collective of  Ottawa area handmakers.  What I love about this group is there is a nice combination of creative chatting but also business chatting. This is their first trunk show which promises to be exciting!  The atmosphere will be cozy and intimate (no church basement fluorescent lights!)  These kinds of shows are wonderful because they encourage shopping within your own neighborhood.  Chances are there are birthdays, weddings, end of school year teacher gifts to buy...instead of travelling to a big box store - try the house down the corner...you'll never know what you might find and you will support your local crafters at the same time!  Hope to see you there!

at the show you will find wooden toys, jewellery, upcycled clothing, sewn practical goodies. buntings, tea wallets and bags, hats, cute sewn owls, amazing gluten free goodies, skin care products, felted goodies and felting kits and wonderful illustrated prints....(in other words something for everyone!)

do you have neighbourhood shows?  do you shop local?  i would love to hear some comments on your viewpoints.....♥
